Support Programs

Housing Program

  • Information, advocacy, and referrals regarding housing issues
  • Assistance with applications for subsidized housing
  • Access to rental listings
  • Information sessions on tenant rights and responsibilities including eviction prevention
  • Help with accessing rent bank loans and energy assistance funds

Settlement Program

  • Information, support, referral, and advocacy regarding community resources, health, social services, education, LINC/ESL classes, employment, as well as immigration and citizenship matters
  • Assistance completing government forms such as Citizenship and Immigration related applications, Child Tax Benefit and Birth Certificate forms, passport and travel documents
  • Information sessions on a variety of topics related to citizenship, immigration and settlement in Canada

Women's Support Program

  • Professional and confidential support for women in a safe environment
  • Information about a women’s rights and options
  • Developing safety plans for women and supporting them whether they choose to remain in or leave the relationship
  • Assistance with legal and financial support and for women who qualify to access to affordable housing on a priority basis
  • Interpretation can be provided if booked ahead

Youth Support Program

Youth Outreach Program (Roma Community)

  • The Roma Youth Outreach Program is a community-based program reaching out to and engaging youth from the Roma community
  • The program assists Roma youth and their families in connecting to community services, navigating the justice system, finding employment, finishing or going back to school and reach their full potential.
  • The program offers game nights, movie nights, youth lounge (pool table, foosball table etc.), connecting to recreational programs volunteering and community service opportunities, finding employment, summer jobs, getting back to school, getting access to newcomer services, finding affordable housing or shelter, maintaining healthy relationships, gaining access to counselling at substance use program
  • The YOW program serves the East Toronto area

Drop-In Centre (Closed due to Pandemic)

  • Computers available for job search, school work etc.
  • Access to phone, fax and local newspapers.
  • Children’s play area
  • A place to meet and network with other community residents
  • Printing and photocopying services are free of cost (limit of 10 copies per day)

Other Programs

  • Summer camp
  • March break camp
  • P.A. day activities
  • After school homework help for children ages 6-12 years
  • Women’s social group and basic computer classes for women
