Trades Connect Program
TNO’s Trades Connect program provides education, certification, and employment programming for newcomers to develop their employability skills and receive academic upgrading, employment training, and a career pathway. The program aims to connect people to gain knowledge on a career area of focus, access certification, and achieve job readiness through hands-on and soft-skill development. The Trades Connect Program is an LLMA (Language and Labour Market Access) and IRCC (Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada) funded program focusing on three main pathways.
Computer Training Program
We provide practical, entry-level computer training for low-skilled individuals especially, job seekers. The sessions cover computer basics, the use of toolbars, preparing Word and Excel documents, creating a table, spreadsheets, flyers, basic emails & introduction to using the Internet.

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada Program (LINC)
TNO’s Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program helps newcomers to Canada to learn the English language skills that are essential to their social, economic, and cultural integration into Canadian society. This program provides learners with a supportive environment in which they can learn a new language and explore different cultures.
Road to Employment
Road to Employment will better equip professional jobseekers new to Canada, especially women, for the post COVID-19 economic recovery plan. The program aims to help participants identify and achieve their career goals through an advanced workplace communication training. Participants will build on soft skills, focus on building an inclusive workplace while learning about the Canadian workplace culture. Access to mentoring and coaching by experienced professionals.
Customer Service and Retail Sales Training
Our Customer Service & Retail Sales Training Program is designed to equip participants with essential skills for success in the retail industry. Spanning 12 hours, this comprehensive course covers key aspects of retail work, including the operation of computerized cash registers, effective customer service communication, and strategies for intercultural interactions. Additionally, the program offers resume building and interview preparation, complete with mock interview practice. To provide hands-on experience, participants will also complete a 4-hour volunteer placement at a retail store.

Bridge to Healthcare Program
The Bridge to Healthcare Program supports Internationally Trained Healthcare Professionals (IEHPs) in transitioning to non-licensed roles within Canada’s healthcare system. This program offers in-class training, volunteer placements, and individualized job search assistance. Participants gain sector-specific language skills, job retention strategies, and networking opportunities. Eligible participants include Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, and Ukrainian Temporary Residents.

Coding for the Future
The Coding for Future program is for newcomer youth aged 15 to 30, offering training in HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, and Python, along with 25 hours of volunteer placement for hands-on experience. Participants will also develop soft skills like teamwork, communication, and leadership. Eligible participants include Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, and Ukrainian Temporary Residents.
