Bridge to Healthcare Program
The Bridge to Healthcare Program provides opportunities for internationally trained healthcare professionals (IEHPs) to leverage their knowledge and transferable skills in pursuing various non-licensed employment opportunities within the Canadian healthcare system.
Key components of the program include:
- Regulatory and Non-Regulatory Pathways: Information on the different pathways available in the Canadian healthcare sector.
- Training and Volunteer Placement: Participants engage in 25 hours of in-class training, followed by 20 hours of volunteer placement in healthcare settings to gain practical experience.
- Individualized Job Search Support: Tailored assistance in job searching, including strategies for job retention and workplace communication.
- Capacity Building: Training to enhance skills needed to work effectively in the Canadian healthcare environment.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with professionals currently working in the Canadian health sector to build relationships and gain insights.
Participants will also receive support for up to one year after program completion, focusing on employment retention and career mobility.
