The Caregivers in Transition program at TNO is designed to support individuals who are transitioning into new caregiving roles. The program offers a range of services, including one-on-one sessions and group training, to empower caregivers with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate their responsibilities effectively.
Key components of the program include:
- Information and Referral Services: Providing updates on current policy changes, caregivers’ rights and responsibilities, and assistance with family reunification.
- Customized Service Plans: Tailored support to meet the unique needs of each caregiver and their family.
- Referrals to Resources: Access to housing, educational resources for children, health services, family counseling, and more.
- Career Planning and Computer Lessons: Skills training to enhance employability and digital literacy.
- Empowerment Workshops: Workshops designed to build confidence and self-advocacy among caregivers.
- OHIP Support: Assistance with understanding and accessing the Ontario Health Insurance Plan.
