The Customer Service & Retail Sales Training program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills needed for a successful career in retail. This comprehensive training covers a variety of topics relevant to the retail industry, including:

 

  • Overview of the Nature of Retail Work: Understanding the fundamentals of the retail environment and job expectations.
  • Using a Basic Computerized Cash Register: Practical training on operating cash registers and handling transactions.
  • Customer Service Language: Developing effective communication skills tailored to customer service.
  • Intercultural and Cross-Cultural Communication Skills and Strategies: Learning how to interact effectively with diverse customer populations.
  • Resume and Interview Preparation: Guidance on creating impactful resumes and preparation for interviews, including mock interview sessions.

Upon completion of the course, participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through a 4-hour volunteer placement at a retail store, enhancing their practical skills and employability.
