Our mission is to bridge the gap between workforce demand and the underrepresentation of newcomers in Canada’s skilled trades and technical sectors.

TNO-The Neighbourhood Organization Trades Connect Program is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Our programs support newcomers pursuing careers in skilled trades and technical sectors by offering training and connecting them to employment pathways in high-demand industries. Below are some of the pathways that Trades Connect is currently offering training and employment in:

Eligibility
Ages 18+
Permanent Residents or Convention Refugees
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5, 6, or above, depending on the training program.

Construction Pathway

HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
Become a certified Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

(IT) Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Upskilling Program
The University of Toronto, in collaboration with TNO (The Neighbourhood Organization), is offering a Certificate Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Upskilling.

(IT) Python Web Development, Data Analysis and AI Skills
Build future-ready tech skills through hands-on training and real-world projects. Learn coding, web development, data analysis, and AI tools used in today’s digital workplaces.

Truck Driving (DZ Licensing - Commercial Driver Training)
Start a high-paying career in the trucking industry with hands-on training and employment support.
