Pathways to Skills Development

Builds essential life skills for academic, personal, and career success through communication workshops, problem-solving activities, goal setting, and leadership development.

Youth Advisory Council (YAC):

A youth leadership platform where participants provide feedback on programs, represent youth voices, and lead community initiatives.

Girls Empowerment Program

A supportive space for girls and young women to build confidence through mentorship, leadership activities, wellness sessions, and community projects.

Led by Eugen (Multimedia Youth Worker)

Youth in Frame & Focus

An 8-week multimedia program where youth explore storytelling through photography, film, animation, and creative media. Participants showcase their work in a final community exhibition and receive community service hours and a certificate.

Future Her (Ages 13–17)

Supports girls through peer circles, homework help, creative projects, stress management, and personal development workshops.

Academic Excellence (Tutoring & Homework Support)

Provides tutoring for grade 8 - grade 12, homework help, study skills support, mentorship, and guidance for postsecondary pathways.

Encourages physical activity and teamwork through organized soccer training and games.

Led by the Youth Team

TNO Youth Hub Youth Drop-In (Ages 12–25)

A welcoming space where youth can connect, participate in recreational activities, receive homework help, and access mentorship and referrals. After school drop-in from 3:15 pm until 6 pm

Gateway Lunch Drop-In (School-Based)

Provides structured engagement during school hours with mentorship, leadership activities, and peer connection.

Certifications Program

Provides job-readiness certifications, including CPR, Food Handler, and High Five.

Career & Employment Support

Helps youth prepare for employment through resume support, job search guidance, interview preparation, and employment referrals.

Case Management & Individual Support

Offers one-on-one support, including academic guidance, career navigation, crisis support, and referrals for youth facing barriers.

Roma Youth Engagement Initiative led by Alexandra Frankova

Expands youth programming through after-school drop-ins, YWHO partnership, and community outreach to support Roma youth.

Skating & Ice Hockey Program

Teaches skating fundamentals while building coordination, confidence, and teamwork to children ages 7 – 11 and youth ages 12+

AB1G Basketball League

A structured basketball program that builds teamwork, leadership, and confidence through weekly practices and games.

Youth Soccer League

Encourages physical activity and teamwork through organized soccer training and games.

Violence Prevention Workshops

Workshops focused on healthy relationships, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and positive decision-making.

School-Based Boxing Program

Provides safe boxing training to help youth develop discipline, strength, focus, and confidence.
