Maintain their current housing, or
Independently pursue new housing options by understanding their rights and responsibilities as tenants.
The Housing Program also functions as an access point for the City of Toronto’s Access to Housing division, the Toronto Rent Bank, and select energy assistance programs.
Eviction prevention support and landlord mediation
Assistance with completing applications for subsidized housing
Information, advocacy, and referrals related to tenant rights, housing issues, and community resources
Assistance with rental arrears and rent deposits through the Toronto Rent Bank (for eligible applicants only)
Assistance with accessing energy assistance programs (for eligible applicants only)
Information sessions on tenants’ rights, responsibilities, and eviction prevention
The Housing Program is funded by the City of Toronto

Our services are free and open to all residents living in Toronto.

Our Rent Bank Program works with low-income households that are at risk of losing their rental housing. This program provides assistance to eligible households facing eviction to access financial assistance for rental arrears and rent deposits.
