Retail Sales and Customer Service Training Program

This training provides skills in:

  • Hands-on training processing various sales transactions using a basic, computerized cash registers
  • Workplace scenarios practiced through role playing
  • Customer service language; including common expressions and idiomatic language; retail workplace language;
  • Dealing with difficult clients
  • Intercultural and cross cultural communication skills and strategies
  • Clients also learn how to conduct labour market research & develop initial career plans.

 

The Retail Sales Training and Customer Service Training program has two components.12 hours of in-class training and an on- site hands on practice at an employer partner location for 4 hours.

There is a seamless client Pathway to move from the Retail Sales Training Program to TNO's Employment Ontario Sevices for job ready clients, and for clients who need futhur support with employment.
