Community Sewing Face Mask Project

TNO – The Neighbourhood Organization, in collaboration with the Thorncliffe Flemingdon Sustainable Sewing Group, Flemingdon Community Support Services, and local residents, has launched the Community Sewing Face Mask Project (CSFMP) to respond to the challenge by Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) for East Toronto sewists to make 1,000 masks per week. These face masks will go to folks across Toronto to help communities stay healthy.

We have compiled some resources to help anyone interested in making face masks for this project:

This initiative is also supported by the Thorncliffe Flemingdon Sustainable Sewing Group, Flemingdon Community Support Services, the Cathy Richards Family Foundation, the Tailor Project, Impakt Foundation for Social Change, the Green Neighbours Network, the Learning Support Council and many others.
